My boyfriend and I came back safe and sound from our week-o-fun in the Bahamas, but upon our arrival, we were greeted by the biggest snow storm all year–a reported two feet in some areas, says weather men! I mean, really? The day we come back this happens? The blizzard couldn’t hit while we were away?
At either case, I am a survivor–I always have been. I learned this skill from my mother. She can shovel our generous circular driveway solo if she had to. She is Wonder Woman.
Come Sunday, I woke up to about 18 inches of snow–at least it’s not the two feet others endured. I threw on my black leggings, bundled up and stepped into my Chantal Equestrian Snow Boots. Although I did buy the handsome footwear for the sake of fashion, I knew it would serve my Wonder Woman purpose of digging my car out of the snow enough to drive it away so I can visit my parents after a long week away.
I thought it would take me at least an hour to shovel and clear, but thanks to my inherited Wonder Woman skills and snazzy boots, it took me but 15 minutes (and that’s with me shoveling part of my neighbor’s parking spot because I am just that nice). I inherited that trait from mom, too.
Snow storm success! Whattup, winter!
