Jennine Jacob of The Coveted modeling Swan sock garters here it is. The female dandy trend has been popular for a while now, but recently we’ve been seeing new accessories creeping into the outer edges of fashion and the blogosphere. Usher in the sock garter.
Sock garters are utilitarian because they help keep socks from slouching, and they add some unusual nerdy sex appeal to an outfit. Sock garters might be an interesting accessory to have in a runway show. But unless you’re very thin, I feel that they have the tendency to make legs look short and stubby, the same problem caused by socks worn with sandals. I don’t foresee the sock garter trend catching on in mainstream fashion. But I could be wrong…what do you think?
