Courtney Love has a fashion blog devoted to her “unique” sense of style. It’s like I’ve died and gone to crackie fashion heaven: “What Courtney Wore Today” chronicles Courtney’s daily fashion choices, and seems to show off Courtney’s expensive tastes – from Lanvin to Givenchy to Chanel. Wasn’t there some big kurfuffle over where all of Kurt Cobain’s money went?
All that aside, there are some seriously nice shoes featured. The first I came across were the Christian Louboutin “Miss Chief” mules that we’ve seen on Courtney before (pictured above). They actually turn up a few times on the website, which tickles me seeing as Courtney Love wearing a pair shoes called “Miss Chief” is like Lindsay Lohan wearing a pair of shoes called “DUI” (Lohan may have worn a pair like that, actually). Also featured are a pair of Manolo Blahnik patent leather tap shoes, Givenchy “Zipper” gladiators, a variety of fantastic Louboutins, limited edition Lesilla heels with Swarovoski crystals, Ann Demeulemeester over the knee boots and a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood heels that have seething with shoe envy. It seems years of reckless drug abuse has not tarnished Courtney’s nose for hot shots!
“What Courtney Wore Today” definitely portrays Courtney’s personal style, in that it shows Courtney’s undeniable ability to make haute couture look trashy? I’m not sure if that’s mean comment, or a genuine compliment of Courtney’s devotion to her true self. The website is worth a look for the shoes alone… It’s like shoe porn!
